Welcome to my little home on the internet. Like my real home, it is constantly in need of renos.
My background is in artificial intelligence, graphics, interactive installations, and a dash of biometrics. You can see examples of some recent work through the projects page and in recent articles on this site.
Currently I'm based in Toronto and working with Infusion Development as an Account Manager (formerly as a Team Lead), and somewhat obsessed with cycling in my spare time.
Prior to Infusion, I was Principal of Carrington Technologies, my IT Consultancy. In addition to delivering custom software solutions, I've trained and collaborated with developers, architects and designers for over 8 years with a .NET specialty.
I was previously based in Dublin, Ireland, where I was working with Microsoft as a technical evangelist. My MSDN Blog chronicles my time working there.
Before Microsoft, there was MIT MediaLabEurope, and the MIT Media Lab in Boston. There are links to my work from the MIT Media Lab and MIT MediaLabEurope here (it may help to navigate through projects).
Subscribe to all or part of this site through the subscriptions page and you can be subjected to my tastes in technology, cycling, photography, user experience, and the occasional moose. You're also very welcome to contact me through the Contact page or by sending me e-mail at rob at robburke dot net. Both fall into the same inbox. About
